Absolute är ett varumärke för samlingsalbum som ägs av EVA Records. Det första albumet, Absolute Music 1, kom ut 1986 och fram till 2005 hade de då 209 st utgivna albumen i serien sålts i över 17 miljoner exemplar.

Samlingsalbumen kan indelas i Absolute Music som innehåller de senaste låtarna, Absolute Classics som är mer tillbakablickar, Absolute Hits som innehåller aktuella låtar, Absolute Kidz som innehåller låtar som barnen gillar och Absolute Dance som innehåller låtar som spelas på dansgolven. Dessutom har en rad samlingar getts ut som är av tematisk karaktär och i olika samarbeten. Dessa redovisas nedan under ”Övriga album”

Absolute Music är en serie musikskivor under varumärket Absolute som med jämna mellanrum ges ut av samarbetet EVA Records (EMI, Virgin, Ariola) innehållandes aktuell hitmusik. Absolute Music 1 utgavs i november 1986. Serien har sedan ynglat av sig i ett stort antal andra skivor, såväl serier såsom enskilda titlar, såsom Absolute Dance, Absolute Christmas och Absolute Kidz. Förebilden för serien är den brittiska serien Now That's What I Call Music! som gavs ut av samma bolag.

Ursprungligen utgavs skivan två gånger per år, en gång på våren och en på hösten (inför julen), undantaget 1989 då tre skivor kom. 1996 började man med att även ge ut en skiva i slutet av sommaren, vilket gör tre utgåvor per år.

Från början gavs alla skivor ut på vinylskiva. "Absolute Music"-skivorna var dubbla, med 24 låtar. Cd-utgåvorna hade bara 18 låtar. Från och med nummer 14 innehöll även vinylutgåvorna bara 18 låtar och fasades snabbt ut. Från och med nummer 33 övergick man till dubbla cd-skivor, nummer 41 undantaget.

Absolute Classics är en serie samlingsskivor från musikförlaget EVA Records som vänder sig mer mot en lite äldre publik, de kring trettio år och äldre. Samlingarna är ofta tematiska till exempel med klassiska rocklåtar eller kärlekslåtar. Musikförlaget har även gett ut serien Absolute Music som mera vänder sig till de som vill ha dagens populäraste musik.

Serien börjades ges ut under 2000-talet och innehåller i nuläget (september 2008) 21 album.

Absolute Dance är en samlingsserie av skivor från EVA Records. Serien är en fortsättning på Move Your Body 1 och Move Your Body 2 som kom ut i början av 1990-talet. De först 9 skivorna kom med en promotionskiva på CD och vinyl som var en mix av albumets låtar. Dessa mixskivor var bara tillgängliga för DJ:s och radiostationer och fanns inte för kommersiell försäljning. Mixarna var tänkta att dra upp försäljningen av Absolute Dance, men efter Absolute Dance 9 så hade försäljningen börjat nå säljrekord av sig själv och mixen blev onödig.

Serien är efter Absolute Music den serie som sålt bäst. Den har under årens lopp kommit ut i lite olika skepnader, men alltid med de senaste och hetaste klubb- och danshitsen. Den hette ett tag "Absolute Dance - Move Your Body", men numera heter den bara "Absolute Dance" och kommer med ca 3 volymer/år.

Serien börjades ges ut under 1992 och innehåller i nuläget (januari 2009) 43 album.
