Erysiphe extensa är en svampart[3] som först beskrevs av Cooke & Peck, och fick sitt nu gällande namn av U. Braun & S. Takam. 2000. Erysiphe extensa ingår i släktet Erysiphe, och familjen Erysiphaceae.[4][5] Inga underarter finns listade.[4]
