En hexeditor är en typ av datorprogram som kan användas för att redigera binära filer. En hexeditor öppnar en fil och representerar varje byte i den som ett tvåsiffrigt hexadecimalt tal (00 till FF) vilket gör filens innehåll överskådligt oavsett vad den innehåller för typ av data.
