Sepia typica[5][6][7][8] är en bläckfiskart som först beskrevs av Japetus Steenstrup 1875. Sepia typica ingår i släktet Sepia och familjen Sepiidae.[9][10] IUCN kategoriserar arten globalt som livskraftig.[1] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[9]
