Thrips palmi[3][2] är en insektsart som beskrevs av Heinrich Hugo Karny 1925. Thrips palmi ingår i släktet Thrips och familjen smaltripsar.[4][5][6] Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[6] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[4]
