Golconda är administrativ huvudort i Pope County i den amerikanska delstaten Illinois.[1] Countyt grundades år 1816 och dess huvudort kallades först Sarahsville efter bosättaren Sarah Lusk. Namnbytet till Golconda skedde redan år 1817.[2]
