Lepanthopsis astrophora[1] är en orkidéart som först beskrevs av Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach och Friedrich Fritz Wilhelm Ludwig Kraenzlin, och fick sitt nu gällande namn av Leslie Andrew Garay. Lepanthopsis astrophora ingår i släktet Lepanthopsis och familjen orkidéer.[2][3] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[2]
