Lepuropetalon spathulatum[1] är en benvedsväxtart som först beskrevs av Henry Ernest Muhlenberg, och fick sitt nu gällande namn av Ell. Lepuropetalon spathulatum ingår i släktet Lepuropetalon och familjen Celastraceae.[2][3] Inga underarter finns listade.[2]
