Microphor holosericeus[1] är en tvåvingeart som först beskrevs av Johann Wilhelm Meigen 1804. Enligt Catalogue of Life[1][2] ingår Microphor holosericeus i släktet Microphor och familjen styltflugor, men enligt Dyntaxa[3] är tillhörigheten istället släktet Microphor och familjen smådansflugor. Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[3] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[1]
