National Hockey League 2023/2024 var den 107:e säsongen (106:e säsongen i spel) av National Hockey League (NHL). Grundserien började den 10 oktober 2023 och avslutades 18 april 2024. Slutspelet startades 20 april och finalen 8 juni som avslutades 24 juni 2024 med Florida Panthers som vinnare av Stanley Cup efter att ha besegrat Edmonton Oilers i sju matcher och vann därmed sin första Stanley Cup.[1] [2]
Denna säsong var den sista för Arizona Coyotes som såldes till affärsmannen i Utah Ryan Smith som startade ett expansionslag i Salt Lake City som skulle startas säsongen 2024–25.

[redigera | redigera wikitext]Mellan 28-29 juni 2023 hölls NHL Entry Draft 2023 vid Bridgestone Arena i Nashville, Tennessee.[3] Connor Bedard draftades som etta totalt av Chicago Blackhawks.[4]
Försäsongsmatcher i Australien
[redigera | redigera wikitext]För första gången i ligans historia spelades matcher i Australien då Arizona Coyotes och Los Angeles Kings möttes den 23 och 24 september vid Rod Laver Arena i Melbourne.[5]

Internationella matcher
[redigera | redigera wikitext]Ligan hade schemalagt fyra matcher på fyra dagar vid Avicii Arena i Stockholm, Sverige. Detroit Red Wings och Ottawa Senators möttes den 16 november. Red Wings spelade sedan mot Toronto Maple Leafs den 17 november. Minnesota Wild mötte Senators den 18 november och den sista matchen spelades mellan Wild och Maple Leafs den 19 november.[6]
Utomhusmatcher

- NHL Heritage Classic 2023 hölls den 29 oktober vid Commonwealth Stadium i Edmonton där Edmonton Oilers tog emot Calgary Flames. Detta var den sjunde matchen i NHL Heritage Classic-serien och den första mellan Battle of Alberta-rivaliteten.
- NHL Winter Classic 2024 hölls den 1 januari vid T-Mobile Park i Seattle där Seattle Kraken tog emot Vegas Golden Knights som var ligans två yngsta lag.
- Två NHL Stadium Series 2024-matcher schemalagds för första gången sedan 2016. Bägge matcherna spelades vid Metlife Stadium i East Rutherford, New Jersey. Philadelphia Flyers och New Jersey Devils möttes 17 februari och den 18 februari drabbade New York Rangers samman med New York Islanders.
All-Star Game
[redigera | redigera wikitext]NHL All-Star Game 2024 hölls den 3 februari 2024 vid Scotiabank Arena i Toronto som är hemmaarena för Toronto Maple Leafs. För första gången sedan 2016 användes ett tre mot tre-format.
Uppskjutna matcher
[redigera | redigera wikitext]Matchen mellan Buffalo Sabres och Chicago Blackhawks som skulle spelats 17 januari 2024 sköts upp till 18 januari på grund av vinterstormar och ett tillhörande reseförbud i västra New York.[7][8]
