USA:s lag bestod av flera spelara från USA:s framgångsrika juniorlag 1989, inklusive Brad Friedel, Joe-Max Moore, Steve Snow, Cobi Jones och Claudio Reyna. Dock genomfördes en sydamerikansk bojkott. Framgångsrika målskyttar för USA var Snow (fyra fullträffar), och Reyna (två mål).
