En obekväm sanning (originaltitel: An Inconvenient Truth) är en dokumentärfilm från 2006 av och med Al Gore. Filmen handlar om den globala uppvärmningen och dess effekter. Filmen är gjord som en föreläsning där Al Gore i första hand vill övertyga den skeptiska amerikanska allmänheten, om att det inte längre råder någon tvekan om att det är människan som påverkat klimatet.
Filmen hade biopremiär i Sverige den 8 september 2006 och TV-premiär den 22 april 2007.
Priser
Filmen vann en Oscar för bästa dokumentärfilm och bästa sång, "I Need To Wake Up", sjungen av Melissa Etheridge, på 2007 års Oscarsgala.
Al Gore vann Nobels fredspris 2007.

Kritik
Forskare har hittat trettiofem (35) felaktigheter i filmen varav åtskilliga var omfattande[1]. Engelsk domstol (High Court of Justice) har fattat beslutet att filmen inte får användas i undervisningssyften utan att ett antal korrigeringar av felaktigheter i samband med visning [2].
