Acanthothamnus aphyllus[1] är en benvedsväxtart som först beskrevs av Rudolf Schlechter, och fick sitt nu gällande namn av Standl. Acanthothamnus aphyllus ingår i släktet Acanthothamnus och familjen Celastraceae.[2][3] Inga underarter finns listade.[2]
