Kreodanthus simplex[1] är en orkidéart som först beskrevs av Charles Schweinfurth, och fick sitt nu gällande namn av Leslie Andrew Garay. Kreodanthus simplex ingår i släktet Kreodanthus och familjen orkidéer.[2][3]
Artens utbredningsområde är Peru.[2] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[2]
