Novocrania anomala[1] är en armfoting som först beskrevs av Cornelius Herman Muller 1776. Enligt Catalogue of Life[5][6] ingår Novocrania anomala i släktet Novocrania, och familjen Craniidae, men Dyntaxa[7] placerar den istället i släktet Crania. Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[7] Inga underarter finns listade.[5]
