Sphaerostephanos hirsutus[1] är en kärrbräkenväxtart som först beskrevs av Kze. och Georg Heinrich Mettenius, och fick sitt nu gällande namn av Holtt. Sphaerostephanos hirsutus ingår i släktet Sphaerostephanos och familjen Thelypteridaceae.[2][3]
