Aedes australiensis[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14] är en tvåvingeart som först beskrevs av Theobald 1910. Aedes australiensis ingår i släktet Aedes och familjen stickmyggor.[15][16] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[15]
