Liriopsis pygmaea[1][3][4][5][6] är en kräftdjursart som först beskrevs av Martin Heinrich Rathke 1843. Enligt Catalogue of Life[7][8] ingår Liriopsis pygmaea i släktet Liriopsis och familjen Cryptoniscidae, men enligt Dyntaxa[9] är tillhörigheten istället släktet Liriopsis och familjen Liriopsidae. Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[9] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[7]
