Jaera praehirsuta[6][7] är en kräftdjursart som beskrevs av Bror Forsman 1949. Jaera praehirsuta ingår i släktet Jaera och familjen Janiridae.[8][9][10] Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[10] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[8]
