Paratimea duplex[1][2] är en svampdjursart som först beskrevs av Topsent 1927. Paratimea duplex ingår i släktet Paratimea och familjen Hemiasterellidae.[5][6]
Artens utbredningsområde är havet utanför Marocko.[5] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[5]
