Platt skimmermossa (Pseudotaxiphyllum elegans)[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] är en bladmossart som beskrevs av Iwatsuki 1987. Enligt Catalogue of Life[8][9] ingår Platt skimmermossa i släktet Pseudotaxiphyllum och familjen Plagiotheciaceae, men enligt Dyntaxa[10] är tillhörigheten istället släktet Pseudotaxiphyllum och familjen Plagiotheciaceae. Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[10] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[8]
