Thrombus abyssi[1][2][3][4][5] är en svampdjursart som först beskrevs av Carter 1873. Thrombus abyssi ingår i släktet Thrombus och familjen Thrombidae.[6][7] Utöver nominatformen finns också underarten T. a. niger.[6]
