Thrips physapus[1][2] är en insektsart som beskrevs av Carl von Linné 1758. Thrips physapus ingår i släktet Thrips och familjen smaltripsar.[3][4][5] Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[5] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[3]
