Chaetogaster diaphanus[2][3][4] är en ringmaskart som först beskrevs av Gruithuisen 1828. Enligt Catalogue of Life[5][6] ingår Chaetogaster diaphanus i släktet Chaetogaster och familjen glattmaskar, men enligt Dyntaxa[7] är tillhörigheten istället släktet Chaetogaster och familjen Naididae. Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[7] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[5]
