Cryptolestes capensis[1] är en skalbaggsart som först beskrevs av Joseph Waltl 1834. Cryptolestes capensis ingår i släktet Cryptolestes och familjen ritsplattbaggar.[5][6][7] Arten har ej påträffats i Sverige.[7] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[5]
