Homotherus magus[4] är en stekelart som först beskrevs av Wesmael 1855. Homotherus magus ingår i släktet Homotherus och familjen brokparasitsteklar.[5][6][7] Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[7] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[5]
