Megathrips lativentris[1][2][3] är en insektsart som först beskrevs av Ernst Wilhelm Heeger 1852. Megathrips lativentris ingår i släktet Megathrips och familjen rörtripsar.[4][5][6] Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[6] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[4]
