Nordlig björnmossa (Polytrichastrum alpinum)[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17] är en bladmossart som beskrevs av G. L. Smith 1971. Enligt Catalogue of Life[18][19] ingår Nordlig björnmossa i släktet Polytrichastrum och familjen Polytrichaceae, men enligt Dyntaxa[20] är tillhörigheten istället släktet Polytrichastrum och familjen Polytrichaceae. Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[20] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[18]
