Pione vastifica[3][8][21][25][26][27][28] är en svampdjursart som först beskrevs av Hancock 1849. Enligt Catalogue of Life[29][30] ingår Pione vastifica i släktet Pione och familjen borrsvampar, men enligt Dyntaxa[31] är tillhörigheten istället släktet Pione och familjen Clionidae. Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[31] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[29]
