En porrskådespelare är en person som medverkar i pornografiska filmer.
Kvinnliga porrskådespelare
De flesta porrfilmer är tänkta för en heterosexuell manlig publik. Huvudfokuset i filmerna ligger därför på kvinnorna i filmerna. Filmerna söker presentera en sexuell fantasi och kvinnorna väljs efter deras förmåga att skapa eller passa i den fantasi som filmen handlar om.
Manliga porrskådespelare
De flesta manliga porrskådespelare väljs inte för deras utseende, utan för deras förmåga till tre saker: Att nå och upprätthålla erektion under filmningen, som ofta kan vara en stressad och pressad situation, samt att nå utlösning.[3] Ron Jeremy, John Holmes, Peter North och Rocco Siffredi räknas av AVN som de bästa porrskådespelarna genom tiderna.[4]
Hälsofrågor
Eftersom porrskådespelare har som arbete att ha sex, ofta utan kondom, är de utsatta för sexuellt överförbara sjukdomar.
